Workflow
Connect objects that were never designed to meet
A useful adapter translates one interface into another. PurCad keeps both patterns, the connecting geometry and the assumptions visible so the result can be measured, revised and exported.
Measure both sides of the connection
Record hole patterns, diameters, insertion depth, contact faces and nearby obstructions for each object. Include the available envelope and tool access. Photos explain context, but direct dimensions control the actual fit.
Build interfaces before decorative shape
Generate the mating features and a simple connecting body first. Verify alignment, then refine ribs, fillets or cable clearance. Preserve hole spacing, offsets and wall thickness as named parameters for later adjustment.
Check load path and assembly sequence
Inspect whether bodies connect, fasteners can be inserted and tools can reach them. Review load direction, lever arm and failure consequence. Print a drilling or fit template before producing the final mount.
Critical mounts are engineering components
Vehicle, overhead, rotating and human-supporting mounts require qualified calculation and physical testing. A passed geometry check confirms bounded CAD facts, not structural capacity or regulatory compliance.
